It was so fun going out with Fanny and Ericia!

Zouk… a long time back!

Fanny and Ericia got really tipsy with Callen and her friend. And I  had to take care of them! Haha… together with the friend’s boyfriend and Yike, we were trying to keep them from taking drinks from other people *ahem*lycheemartiniwhichtheydrankandYikehadtobuyanotherglasstoreturn*ahem*

The girl’s boyfriend was looking at me incredulously. ‘How come you’re not drunk?!’ he was asking me. Then I told him that instead of lamboghini which the girls had, I only drank 2 cosmopolitants. That’s why I was still sober. Haha… He kept telling me ‘Wah you have good tolerance for alcohol’.

But this time I didn’t splash water on people telling them ‘It’s for your own good!’

Erm, they were taking a photo without me so I decided to squeeze in!

And then, to celebrate Ericia’s birthday! Had dim sum with the mentors first, then we went out to Heeren. Where we got Huihui the mickey hand, so she could join our ‘mickey mouse hand club’.

Acted like teenage girls for the day. Haha.

See? We CAN hang out without alcohol hehe.

Okay, greetings and wishes etc. Hope everyone has been good this year and received great presents… I mean blessings. Presents are for materialistic people.

Christmas was great. Was out with CJ at his auntie’s Christmas dinner. I am never very good at the whole ‘mingle with new friends’ situations, but his extended family was very friendly and engaging. I was kind of thrown off though, when one of his uncles asked me ‘Are you from Thailand?’

Huh?

Exactly. Anyway, it was nice. Again, I got lost on AYE and ended up at Tuas. AGAIN. I think it is the 4th or 5th time. This has got to stop. Exit at Jurong Town Hall. Exit at Jurong Town Hall. Exit at Jurong Town Hall!!!!

I also think I should become a personal assistant / secretary of sorts for CJ. He totally forgot about a Christmas eve party, and when they called, he told them ‘Chris is sick… got to take care of her’ So unfair!!! :/ I don’t want them to think I’m stealing CJ away…

Anyway, thank you for being so patient with me.

My tooth has been bothering me for the past few days. It was so bad that I’m actually having headaches on my right. I thought it was my wisdom tooth, but I’m a little leary about removing it. Never liked going to the dentist. Anyway, it just so happens that CJ’s dad is a dental surgeon. And he offered to look at my tooth.

The truth is – Since young, I have been scared of any trips to the dentist!

When I was in primary 2, I woke up one morning to find one side of my mouth bleeding. Scared to death, I went to the toilet to check. One of my tooth was coming out. I didn’t know what to do, and I was too afraid to pull it out with my fingers. So… I closed my mouth, aimed at the direction the wobbly tooth was. And I punched myself in the face.

I kid you not.

Okay in case you think I’m out of my mind, I’m not. I did not really punch myself in the face… it more like a … light punch.

But really. I’m very grateful and I really appreciate the fact that he is so busy, yet makes time to see me. And he is really very good. Partially because of the fact that he said my wisdom tooth is okay, so maybe I don’t need to extract! Hurrah!

The bad news is that I have a cavity on my molar. So maybe they will have to extract that, cause I have too much teeth. Or something like that. But for now, it is covered with some white plaster thing and the pain is gone! Hurrah!

Smurf

I am driving myself crazy but I seem to remember a smurf song that goes something like ‘Did you go to school today? Yes we… (forgot) everyday’

I tried googling but nothing came up. Amazon. Nothing. Ebay. Nothing. Nothing!!! I am so frustrated.

*Edit – update if you are interested – I’m not crazy! There IS such a song! I actually signed up on a Smurfs forum to ask for information. Hehe.

The Hours

I remember one morning getting up at dawn, there was such a sense of possibility, you know, that feeling? And I remember thinking to myself that this is the beginning of happiness, this is where it starts. And of course there will always be more. It never occurred to me that it wasn’t the beginning… it was happiness. It was the moment, right then.

I love the way they captured the emotion. No maudlin sentiments, no I'm so sad and I miss you blah blah blah, but they captured it so well. The emotion is more real and so much deeper than dumb boy band ballads.

Sometimes I think he's too nice to me. Like today. I don't know what I would have done without him, but I still feel nothing. I keep trying to tell myself to appreciate, to see the good. And I do, but in a way entirely different from what I think comes from him. But really – am I using him? I don't know. I don't initiate anything, but I guess that doesn't make a difference. 

I still love the way you feel

I love the Goo Goo Dolls especially Johnny Rzeznik. You HAVE to watch the video. At about 57 seconds to 1 min 2 seconds he has this grin which makes my inner fangirl go 'Awwwww… Omg he's so cute.' And he says 'My heart is reeling.' How appropriate. I wanna screen cap 59th second and set it as my wall paper.

Only Johnny Rzeznik, Alex Band from The Calling and Jason Wade from Lifehouse has this kind of effect on me. It seems I have something for guys with dirty blonde hair.

Aquamarine

Couple of days back I watched Aquamarine with the bff Sammmmmm. I actually didn't know about the movie until Sam told me about it, and it's actually not too bad. And hey, I'll always watch any movie you ask me to. Haha. Very enjoyable, in fact.  And also I liked the ending where it's a realistic but happy ending… albeit abrupt. I like the song they danced to – Island in the Sun, the Weezer cover. Very breezy, even the lyrics convey the 'lazy' kind of feeling.

Anyway, ack looking for a part time job is hard… sigh last last semester was easy with all the internship. Please employ me, employers!

Yesterday went shopping for mother's day present. Got a photo album / stand thingy which I'm gonna fill with a pictorial story. Hope she likes it. And also got this voice print card thing that can record 6 seconds worth of erm, recording. It's quite cute except for the fact that ack do I really sound like that?!

On the way back E was telling me about how some people add 'spoilers' (this is probably a wrong spelling) to the back of the car to make it look nice. And I was like 'Yuck I think it's ugly.' 'Really? It's supposed to make the car look sporty' 'Don't know, don't like it.' -Silence- 'Okay, you don't like have one at the back right?' 'Oh I have one installed' I swivelled around to look and there it was. Huh. Foot in mouth.  

I so hate it when a guy asks you out like 'Oh are you free on XXX day, let's go for a drink' and when you say ya, I'm free, he asks you to call him to make plans. How can you just make it the girl's onus to call when you're the one who asked her? Like I'll really go do that. Annoying.
Oh something else. Was looking at my wordpress stats and I realised a lot of people reach my site when

(3) Alice in wonderland editorial (good taste btw)- Go to style.com and click on the Vogue button. They have the whole list of past editorials there. Those are really small though, maybe bwgreyscale.com has better HQ ones.
