Sasha P. in Vogue UK. “Word on the Street”
Not sure who the stylist is but I love this look, especially the the glittery jacket and the shoes… Louboutin for Rodarte? Or Givenchy? Can’t make it out but they are gorgeous.

Lately the newstand outside my office has been bringing in Vogue US very very early. Like even before the subscribers early.
So I got my august copy this morning I posted the picture of the cover on tfs – kate moss on the cover! It was big news because when was the last time US Vogue had a model on the cover?!
And I was really bowled over when I went t this popular fashion blogger’s site – which, if I’m correct, has a lot of fashion industry readers… the little photo I took this morning (complete with ‘Special Price!’ sticker) is there!
And it hit me, all of a sudden. Is the issue supposed to come out that early? Why is it on ‘Special Price’?
Questions questions…
Update: OMG. The picture I took is now on The Cut on NY Mag
Why can’t all of them just use the Style.com version!
Somebody tell me why Irina L. is still allowed to model when she looks like this -

UGGGhh.
But other than that, the rest of the clothes are beautiful.

My favorite not-so-new girls Michaela and Georgina. Working the dresses! Amazing coat on Michaela! I want to run my hands over the fabric.
Gotta love the Kaiser for this

He does take his part time stint as an ambassador for public safety seriously!
But the point of this entry is to say how much I love the whole ‘carry your own frame’ concept.
Lovely!

How clever! I almost wished this was mainstream already so I can walk down the streets in my own little ‘frame’. I would choose the square one. Very ‘I’m ready for my closeup now’ feel to it. Work it, Iekeline!
Baby doll floaty dress be on the way out, because sexy is in again!
I do love the floaty smock dress, shirt dress look but I think a woman’s got to flaunt what she has!
And with Herve Leger (designed by Max Azria) making a come back, I am just so excited! Of course, I probably can’t afford the original. So I’m just looking out for high street alternatives. The colour palette for the F/W08 show. I can’t wait to see what Max Azria comes up with for S/S09. The colours will be incredible.

Not a fan of the F/W08 hair and make up though so I will pass on that.
Celebs love their Herve Leger -

Can you see the Spring Summer colours already? I can’t wait to see the collection for S/S 09.
Glad that someone like Max Azria whom, imo, we can count on for beautiful designs is the designer for this line. Love it that he kept the bandage look, and stayed true to Herve Leger’s aesthetics.
Anyway, I’m thinking this look might only hit high street mid – end of this year. So crossing my fingers. Looks tend to take a long time to trickle down from the shows to mainstream … and this is so vastly different from the shapeless smocks girls are wearing now, so might be even longer.
*************
On a separate note, hurrah for the end of an era! If you currently wear small black rimmed glasses, throw them away!

Throw these away.
What’s trickling in now (quite slowly actually… cause I first saw them in the S/S06 Givenchy show and in fact, talked about them here and here) are big glasses. And I’ve seen a couple of people (non models, cause models don’t count) wear it and they look surprisingly good.

I just wanted to find a way to put Lawrence Stiers’ picture in this post. Haha!
So big glasses, coming soon!

!!!!! Let the pictures do the talking.

So pretty!
Fairy Bag from Prada. I’m guessing it’s about 3.5K SGD onwards. Limited edition piece, but not too sure how limited exactly.
It’s so beautiful! It’s leather material, and you can see a slight sheen on the surface – it makes it a little more magical looking, I think.
Absolutely beautiful and very likely knockoffs and ‘inspired’ will designs will be hitting far east plaza by the end of the year.
I’m usually more into classic designs but this is much too pretty not to gush about.
Being too busy lately, I don’t really have time to look at the Spring Summer shows this year. And I LOVE Spring Summer shows. The colours and makeup are nicer. And the clothes are more inspiring.
So anyway to save time, I was flipping through Natasha Poly’s page (she’s my favourite model, and she does almost all the big shows so I can kill two birds with one stone). And guess what! I’ve found the perfect description of my style (or what I’d like to think is my style) in this outfit!

Love the colours of the strappy sandals. Love the bag. LOVE the dress.
And this make up at Missoni I love. If only I can do it as well as this -
