“I can’t …

…remember my life before meeting you,” he said.

I rolled over and rested my nose on his.

I have no words because they never c0me out as beautiful as his. But I too can’t remember my life before him.

Welcome Billy!

We welcomed our 3rd little snowman on X’mas. Buddy has the same birthday… but 2 years back. So that makes Buddy 2 years old, I suppose.

Sasha P. in Vogue UK. “Word on the Street”

Not sure who the stylist is but I love this look, especially the the glittery jacket and the shoes… Louboutin for Rodarte? Or Givenchy? Can’t make it out but they are gorgeous.

“Good morning”

8 12 2008

It is so nice waking up next to someone you love.

Building memories

1 12 2008

“I’m sick. I’ve had cramps all morning. I’m lying on my stomach because it’s the only way it doesn’t hurt,”

“Sorry baby, I need to rush to get my work done by today. But I’ll try my best to finish it and visit you in the evening?”

I felt guilty. He didn’t have time to finish his work because he spent the whole afternoon yesterday with me. We were shopping for my secret Santa gift.

+++

Yesterday afternoon. We went in search for a cheaper alternative to Sakae Sushi – our efforts to be frugal. At Cineleisure, I spotted a Smurf toy at one of the gift stalls.

The last time I got a Smurf toy was ages ago. It was the one my dad bought me when I was little.

The new Smurfs toy had a new look. They weren’t as furry. They also had longer and thinner arms and legs, unlike my older Smurf that had pudgy arms and legs.

I picked up Papa Smurf. “He is so cute! I want him to come home with me… except I’m on this frugal drive. Do you think we should get him?”

“Come on, let’s go for lunch.” He’s been trying to get me to adhere to my ‘life of frugality’, so I didn’t think he paid too much attention to the toys.

“I’m on my way down, where should I meet you?”

“Have you finished your work?”

“Not really, but I miss you,”

“Okay, I’m having dinner with my parents are Bt. Gombak. Join us there?”

“Okay, see you in a bit.”

+++

I was a little exasperated. I didn’t know how to give him the exact directions he needed to come to this little coffee shop we were having dinner.

But then I spotted him walking over, on the footpath. He’s carrying his bag pack. I gave him a hug.

“Hey, I didn’t know you went back to school today,”

“I didn’t. Can you help me hold the bag for a while?”

I held it for him. There was a little blue arm sticking out one side of the bag, and he was looking at me with a sideway grin.

I can’t stop myself from laughing as I pulled out little Smurf from his bag. “I knew you’d go back and get him!” I threw myself at him and gave him a big hug. “I thought you might get Papa Smurf, but I love him too.”

He looked at me with a puzzled look. “Did you think he would be lonely, just him alone?”

“No… It’s just…” then I realised what he actually meant. I reached into the bag and pulled out a second Smurf. Papa Smurf.

“I love you! I can’t believe you got both of them!” I couldn’t stop grinning at the Smurf toys. And giving out sporadic little bursts of laughs.

He looked at me with a bit of amusement on his face. “It would probably make you happy to know that I actually dug in deep into the shelf to pick the two Smurfs that were at the very back. Not the ones in front with their arms open, but I got the two little ones squashed at the back.” He made a little timid face. “They were looking at me like that.” He knows how I sometimes feel bad for the soft toys that are squashed at the back of the shelf. He knows that I can’t bear to see that no one would buy them.

“You know me better than I know myself.”
