Taking that step

29 09 2008

I just came back from dinner with CJ, Uncle T, C and J. –> that looks really funny. CJ and C & J.

One year ago, we were at the same place. Everything was the same only C & J were married yet. I attended their wedding about a month ago. While I do not envy the reason of their marriage, I do envy the fact that they now know where they are heading. I envy the fact that they now know where they are going, and that they know that everything is stable, everything is taken care of. So to speak.

And it makes me nervous. And excited.

I always go back to the Robert Frost poem, where two roads diverged. Except, in this case, I think it’s not about taking the road less travelled. It’s the difficulty of making the choice of which path to take. I think making the choice is the most difficult thing to do. Once you’ve made the choice, you know what to do, what to expect.

It’s not come to me yet, but I can’t wait to see what happens next.
