Just came back from dinner at SICC with CJ and his dad. I guess it’s a good thing that his dad and mom seems to like me.
Wandering around town today, we walked past an art installation at Scotts. I thought it was interesting, and he just opened the door and walked straight in! I didn’t know it was open to public, I mean, I thought we were just meant to look at it from the outside. But you can actually interact with it – from the write up in the inside panel you could see the artist (Ketna Patel) wanted people to go in and interact with the pieces. I loved it. It was so colourful, but not jaringly so. There were many little interesting headlines and signages in the art pieces. And most interesting of all, there was a neon red sign at the centre of the pieces, which you could see when you entered. It says ‘Open’. I wonder if it is an invitation for people to go in, and not just observe from the outside.

Funny thing is, people keep looking at us when we were inside, like ‘What are they doing inside?’ Yet nobody came in! Well, except Mel! (: she saw me, and was standing outside wondering if I was the artist and this was my show and I was setting up. We went in and took photos. Hee.
CJ took me to Jack’s Place to eat lamb chop, because I had been craving for it. And I think Jack’s Place was the first place I’d had mint sauce with lamb, which tastes absolutely fantastic. I’m never having lamb without mint sauce again. For CJ, it was the first place he had garlic bread. (;

Funny, but it doesn’t taste as nice as I remembered. The first time was at Yen San building (which was closed when we went to look for it the first time round! The disappointment) and it was on hotplate. Well, I’m always on the hunt for good lamb and mint sauce so please let me know!
Another yummy dinner. We wanted to got to Da Paolo’s Pizza bar, but happened to be on a Monday and it was closed! So we settled for 2 pieces of pizza, Seafood and mushroom from Da Paolo’s Gastronomia. Hmm… I didn’t like it as much as the salmon. The salmon was probably the best I’ve eaten! And seriously, if you are going to spend 20++bucks eating insipid pizza from Pizza Hut, may as well spend it at Da Paolo’s. Pizza Bar prices are around that range too, for a pizza. And you get something of better quality.

I had fun that night though. It was me and CJ (Labuan) sitting at the little picnic benches outside Da Paolo’s eating our dinner of pizza and plain water. He was telling me about his life when he was a kid and staying at the Chip Bee area, just upstairs of where we were eating. And I imagined him running down the stairs every morning and sitting at the window every night before he went to bed.
At Borders. We were looking at calenders and I picked up one of penguins.

I saw this and HAD to show this to him. ‘Wah! So fat! It’s so cute!’
About a week back we went to this Cosafe Maid cafe at Chijmes. No, we are not into cosplay or anime, but he just wanted to check it out. That’s what he says although I think he was more into the whole French maid outfits thing.
Anyway, erm, what was it again? A cosplay cafe? Cause I didn’t feel it. It felt like any normal restaurant but with girls in French maid uniforms. I guess they probably sensed that I won’t be too receptive to kawaii, or realistic cosplay maid type treatment. But they could have been more demonstrative with CJ. Really, I mean, I’m not the jealous girlfriend type. *shoves CJ to anime girls*

The food was decent though. This is my prawn aglio olio. I’m into anything aglio olio nowadays. Basically, my choices during meal times consist of these couple of food types : Pasta aglio olio, lamb chops with mint sauce, escargot, smoked salmon. Back to topic, the food is decent, I liked it very much.

Across the road, we stopped for him to have a smoke. I can’t really take the smoke, so he moved 5 feet away from me to smoke. I was standing facing slightly away from him because I was looking at something else, and I folded my arms because it was cold. A couple walked past and I heard CJ say ‘It’s okay! We are not arguing!’. Apparently the woman thought I was angry at him, and he was smoking because he was stressed out! Ha!
At East Coast we found this tiny little kitten scampering around. He is tiny! Seriously he is about the size of a 750ml Listerine bottle. He purred (the kitten, not CJ) when we played with him. And oh, someone actually did a very mean thing to the kitten! When CJ found him the first time, he (the kitten) had a rubberband around his neck! It really is a very cruel thing to do, because when the kitten grows up it is going to hurt him.

Anyway, I hope someone adopts it. Jac took some cat food from her place for the kitten but it seems disinterested in eating.
Okay, abrupt ending. Going to sleep.
